As of Sep/10, detailed exploration work and drilling was initiated in the Centenario, Humos and Milpillas W projects focused on the development of copper mineral resources.

As of Dec/09, Total tons deposited at Milpillas rose 20.1% from 2008, to 1,686,238 tons, as part of the ongoing ramp-up of the mine. Production should rise gradually and stabilize at 2,700,000 tons in 2013. Copper cathode production rose 42.2% in the year, to 20,345 tons. Among the key projects this year was the construction of a new overflow pool to increase water retention capacity, the initial phase of expanding the leaching pads and installing a radial stacking conveyor in one of them. The company conducted 15,660 meters of diamond drilling during the period. Capex: US$11.5 million, reserves decreased 1.5%.
