Trenching and geological/geochemical surveys were completed at the Chamuk target, resulting in the confirmation of existing gold prospects and the identification of several new areas of potential mineralization. In the 1990s, exploration was conducted over a 90 m strike extent of the Chamuk target area, outlining a gold resource of approximately 213,700 tonnes at an average grade of 7.4 g/t gold over 2-9 meters, to a depth of 150 m. The resource is open along strike and at depth. Assay values of up to 215 g/t gold were also obtained from grab samples.
