A series of 340 auger geochemical soil drill holes was drilled on the northern block of tenements and 66 RAB holes were completed on the southern tenement group. RAB drilling returned anomalous gold values.
November 2, 2005
Announced the commencement of an auger drill geochemical program. From 1997 to 2000, exploration programs undertaken across the project area included 21 x 1 m vacuum holes and the completion of 3 RAB drill holes for a total of 122m. Analytical results of samples collected from the vacuum holes returned a peak value of 68 ppb Au. Results greater than 20 ppb Au were considered anomalous in this program. The sampling identified two anomalous areas: one over the western part of the tenement, the other near the eastern boundary of the tenement. The eastern anomaly was followed up with 3 inclined RAB holes averaging 40m in depth. Composite samples over 5m intervals all returned assays <0.1 ppm Au with no anomalous arsenic From 1983 to 1990, exploration included geochemical soil sampling across a 200 m x 50 m grid. The sampling identified several gold-in-soil anomalies up to 50 ppb Au within P30/0992.
