Latest Information February 28, 2001 Drilling was to commence within first week in March. The drill targets are considered to be prospective for hosting iron oxide copper-gold deposits. Thin section analysis and relogging of core has confirmed that the iron oxide copper-gold style of mineralization is present. A drill program was planned for early 2001 to test the NW striking structures.Redmond has recently completed a geophysical program consisting of horizontal loop electromagnetic and magnetometer surveys on five selected targets. These targets were selected from a re-evaluation of a 1997 airborne geophysical survey using Billiton's proprietary software and SRK Consulting of Australia's expertise in the identification of iron oxide copper-gold targets. November 30, 2000 A re-interpretation of airborne geophysics defined several potential targets. In Jun/99, assay results were reported from a 2,300 m drill program which tested the Huornaisenvuoma, Copper Lake, and Viscaria Southwest targets. The Huornaisenvuoma target contained 7.9 m grading 2.15% Zn, 0.72% Cu, 26.99 g/t Ag, and 0.04 g/t Au. The Copper Lake target contained 8.85 m containing 0.50% Cu, 0.3% Co, and 1.75 g/t Ag. |
