April 6, 2005 Dunsmuir Ventures has informed BHP Minerals International Exploration Inc of its intention to terminate its option to earn a 51% interest in the North West Lake project in Marquette County, Michigan, USA, following poor assay results which failed to identify any base or precious metals. Drill hole NL2005-1, completed to a depth of 1098 ft (335 m) at an inclination of -45 degrees, was
located to test a well-defined airborne magnetic and overlapping gravity anomaly identified during an earlier regional survey by BHP Billiton.
April 6, 2005 No significant base or precious metal anomalies were identified from the winter drill program. Drilling intersected a sequence of amphibolite, biotite gneiss and metamorphosed iron formation. Pyrrhotite and magnetite were locally abundant, accounting for up to 50% of the rock. Foliation relationships observed in the drill core favour a gently dipping interpretation of the orientation of the sulphide and magnetite-rich units, which would account for the geophysical signature of the anomaly.
