April 22, 2010 Focus Ventures reported to have received the results from the latest 4 holes from the drilling program on its Nueva California, located in Peru. The best results were found in Holes DDH-NC-016 and DDH-NC-018 with 4.6m at 2.20g/t gold and 347g/t silver from 68.9m and 6.5m at 1.53g/t gold and 123g/t silver from 80.6m, respectively.
March 30, 2010 Focus Ventures announced assay results from the first 10 holes of the company’s ongoing second-phase drill program on its Nueva
California project in Peru. Highlights include hole DDH-NC-012 which cut 46 m @ 2.0 g/t Au + 95 g/t Ag (3.6 g/t Au Eq) from 52 m downhole and a shallower intercept of 24.4 m @ 2.6 g/t Au + 105 g/t Ag (4.3 g/t Au Eq) from surface in the tailings.
October 27, 2009 Focus Ventures Ltd. announce assay results for the first-pass drill program at the Nueva California project in north-central Peru, located some 35km north of the Pierina gold mine. Four holes were drilled for a total of 405m. All holes intersected epithermal style gold mineralization, with higher grades (>5 g/t Au) associated with silicified and hydrothermally brecciated sediments. Significant mineralized intercepts include 69.6m grading 1.84 g/t Au and 22 g/t Ag from surface in Hole DDH-NC-003, and 38.2m grading 1.70 g/t Au and 20 g/t Ag from surface in Hole DDH-NC-002.
