Latest Information September 30, 2002 Received assay results from the initial drilling on the River zone. The River zone mineralization is related to siliceous, brecciated volcanic rocks with abundant iron oxide. Surface sampling from this area indicated the presence of silver and gold mineralization, often supported by base metals. A series of short diamond drill holes intersected the brecciated and silicified unit in several locations. The most significant intersections are summarized below: hole OT-02-2 -- 7.2 m of 14.78 g/t silver; hole OT-02-6 -- 27.55 m of 33.23 g/t silver, with 0.227 g/t gold over 1.8 m; hole OT-02-8 -- 6.4 m of 27.95 g/t silver, with 0.955 g/t gold over 0.95 m; hole OT-02-9 -- 12.2 m of 48.87 g/t silver, with 0.246 g/t gold over 1.45 m; hole OT-02-11 -- 8.9 m of 10.53 g/t silver; and hole OT-02-14 -- 5.55 m of 47.64 g/t silver, with 0.105 g/t gold over 125 m. September 30, 2002 A total of 14 drill holes have now been completed at the River zone. This core had to be logged, split, sampled and then shipped. Work is continuing on the access and water line route to the Red Mountain area of the Oteros property and drilling will commence there as soon as possible. The Red Mountain area is at least 800 metres long by 400 metres wide and, like the other target areas, has never been drilled before. Recent surface sampling at the Red Mountain zone has returned assay values of 1.31, 1.37 and 4.62 grams gold/tonne, as well as one grab sample with 1.72 ounces gold/tonne. |
