Archipelago Resources announced that Asia Image Ltd, Hong Kong has agreed to subscribe for 9.81 million ordinary shares at an issue price of 23.5 pence per share to raise £2.3 million. Proceeds will be used for general working capital purposes.

Archipelago Resources raised £5.5 million through the placement of 22 million ordinary shares at an issue price of 25 pence per share. US$2 million of the funds raised will be used to reduce the US$10 million Rand Merchant Bank loan facility put in place in March of this year; the remainder of the proceeds will be used for general working capital purposes.
