Latest Information
September 30, 2008
Reported to date, a total of 30,366 metres of RC drilling has been completed on various priority targets, including follow-up drilling (depth and strike extension) at the Carrizalillo Hill East and West discovery areas, initial drilling at the Fabiola target area and various geochemical target areas. Final assays from the RC program are expected to be received in November 2008.
February 21, 2008
Announced an initial inferred mineral resources estimate on the Pan de Azucar property of 35.8 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.47% CuT (total copper), 0.20 g/t Au, 2.1 g/t Ag and 0.011% Mo (includes the Carrizalillo Hill East and Carrizalillo Hill West zones). The initial program was successful in encountering widespread Cu-Au-Ag-Mo mineralization, which remains open to the north and at depth and the system is also open to the west under cover.
November 12, 2007
Initial drilling (RCC-01 to RCC-22 results reported) at Pan de Azucar encountered significant copper and gold mineralization, including 160 metres grading 1.30% CuT and 0.87 g/t Au in Hole 3. Property position was to be expanded. Holes 23 to 34 have been completed. The initial program has been successful in encountering widespread mineralization over a combined area of approximately 400 meters North–South by 350 meters East–West. These results indicate the presence of two north-south trends of mineralization which have been named Carrizalillo Hill East and Carrizalillo Hill West. The mineralization remains open on both trends to the north and at depth and the system is also open to the west under cover. The Company also announces the expansion of its property position with the optioning of the 70 ha. Fabiola concessions, contained within the Pan de Azucar concession area and to the immediate south of the Carrizalillo Hill. During the year ended July 2007, reported that preliminary exploration activities on the Pan de Azucar Property consisted of preliminary geologic and sampling recognizance, followed by geochemistry (MMI sampling) and ground geophysics, principally magnetometry. A gravimetric survey is currently underway over the areas with MMI and magnetometric anomalies.
