Property NewsJune 30, 2008 Reported to have produced 92,231 tonnes of ilmenite, 31,186 tonnes of rutile and 24,320 tonnes of zircon. June 30, 2007 Development activities commenced at the Gwindinup mine site (located 30 km south of the Bunbury mineral separation plant) during the first half of 2007. Gwindinup and the adjacent Happy Valley deposits have an estimated mine life of seven years. March 8, 2007 Announced the development of the Snapper Mine, including establishment of an overburden removal system, dredge, wet concentrator, salt washing facility and HMC (heavy mineral concentrate) processing facilities to produce magnetic and non-magnetic concentrates.The Snapper Mine will be developed as a dredge mining operation with an average mining rate of 1000 tonnes per hour.Incremental extensions to the infrastructure at the Ginkgo Mine which will be shared between sites, for example, power, haul road and accommodation camp, and the provision of new infrastructure at the Snapper Mine and the construction of additional circuits at the Broken Hill MSP to produce final Rutile and Zircon product.(Mar/08)
