Latest Information January 31, 2002 Drilled two holes on the grade surface PGM mineralization in a gabbro sill. Both holes intersected anomalous PGM values associated with disseminated sulphide mineralization in gabbroic rocks near the base of the sill. The best assay interval, obtained from a drill hole under the high-grade surface showing, was 0.5 m grading 1.17 g/t Pd, 0.16 g/t Pt and 0.09 g/t Au. Drilling has confirmed the presence of a PGM-enriched horizon within the regionally extensive layered gabbro sill. January 10, 2002 Ursa Major Minerals has decided not to continue further exploration on its platinum property in Porter Township near Sudbury Ontario, based on results from two holes drilled recently. Both holes intersected anomalous PGM values associated with disseminated sulphide mineralization in gabbroic rocks near the base of a gabbroic sill. The best assay interval, obtained from a drill hole under the high-grade surface showing, was 0.5 m grading 1.17 g/t palladium, 0.16 g/t platinum and 0.09 g/t gold. The company recently completed additional grid cutting, mapping and prospecting on the Shakespeare property in Shakespeare Township. |
