Latest Information January 30, 2009 For the December 2008 quarter, Paramount reported that in Ghana, the company has completed testing material excavated from a trench into diamondiferous hard rock in the Osenase project. It recovered 553 diamonds in the 0.5 – 4 mm size range and weigh an estimated 6.88 carats in total, recovered from 75 cubic metres of material tested. At the Pramkese project diamonds were recovered in 7 out of 10 samples collected, with gold noted in all samples. In Western Australia, follow up field work was completed in October 2008 in the Escape Creek and Wood River project areas. Also in October 2008, follow up work was carried out at the Ellendale Project over a lamproite body of approximately 15 hectares in surface area identified through field logging of drill samples, as well as over a prominent aeromagnetic target elsewhere in the project area. This field programme also included some work at the Napier project. October 31, 2008 Permission has been sought from the Minerals Commission to carry out some pitting work at Pramkese, normally disallowed under the Reconnaissance Licence terms. At this stage permission has not been obtained. July 14, 2008 It will undertake a detailed exploration program aimed at confirming the potential highligted by past testwork. Program planning is in progress, with field work scheduled to commence as soon as possible, in the September 2008 quarter. |
