Drilling at the Pump Lake deposit, located 2,500 metres north of the Copper Cliff North Mine production shaft, continued in 2001. This deposit is located 300 metres north of the 191 orebody and the initial evaluation studies are being carried out on the Pump Lake zone in conjunction with the proposed development of the 191 orebody. These studies, together with recent drilling, has resulted in the identification of significantly more mineralization in both the 191 orebody and the Pump Lake deposit.

New deposit consisting of three zones, exploration drilling to date has outlined a total indicated resource of 3.5 million tonnes of 1.4% Ni, 1.0 % Cu and 1.5 g/t combined palladium, platinum and gold. Included in this total is the East Flank zone which contains 0.23 million tonnes of 1.5 % Cu, 3.2% Ni and 5.9 g/t palladium, platinum and gold combined. Further drilling is expected to increase this resource.
