July 27, 2009 Leighton Contractors’ Resources Division has been awarded a three-year contract extension worth A$300 million by BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA). Under the contract, Leighton Mining will undertake the project management, surface mining,
engineering and maintenance work required to deliver the overburden removal services at the Peak Downs Mine, which is situated in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland.
