Compania Minera Quechua announced that the Company submitted the Environmental Impact Study (EIA in spanish)for the Quechua project, Peru. Highlights include: Production is planned to be in an average of 75,000 metric tons; the plant will start on fourth quarterly of 2014, according to the development of the designed project; total capital of US$970 million, from which it has been invested around U$70 million in pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, which is ending on the first quarterly of next year (2012). The rest of the capital will be used on the plant engineering.

The company submitted an EIA in order to carry out an exploration campaign, which consists on 11 drilling platform, focusing on the design of the ore body and estimate reserves.
