November 27, 2001 Global resource giant Anglo American is waiting for the international copper market to improve before developing its US$1 billion, 200,000 tpy Quellaveco copper project in Peru, a company spokesperson was quoted as saying by Lima newspapers, according to BNamericas.com. The London-based company has spent US$60 million to date on exploration, an environmental impact study and other preliminary work at the project in Moquegua department in the south of the country.
December 31, 2000 The feasibility study had been completed.
