Polar Star Mining reported Chilean exploration results for the the first six months of 2010. At Los Animas copper-uranium property geological mapping, rock sampling and ground radiometric surveys were initiated in June, 2010 and were expected to be continued in Q3 2010 with follow-up geophysical programs including magnetic, IP and possible gravity surveys. At Ramadilla uranium property the size of the property was reduced as to reflect negative results generated by prospecting the northern part of the property. At Batuco, Corinto and Botalcura geological mapping and sampling programs were initiated during February 2009. Eight 0.25 – 0.5 km square areas of multiple 2-5m wide massive and banded quartz veins assaying 0.5 to 3.29 g/t Au with significant associated lead anomalies have been encountered to date.

Polar Star Mining announced exploration results on their Chilean mineral properties. During July 2009, geological mapping and prospecting using hand held gamma ray spectrometer surveys were completed over most of the Los Azules claims east and north of the Araya breccia. The Los Azules surveys have outlined several zones of multiple breccias, 92 in total, and alteration with associated copper oxides and Ue values to 250 ppm. At Las Animas all the larger mines (some 8-10) were checked for uranium using the Exploranium GS135 gamma ray spectrometer and gave strong eU readings above 100ppm to a high of 620 ppm (1.36lbs). At Ramadilla a limited reconnaissance geological mapping and prospecting using hand held gamma ray spectrometers was completed in the northern part of the property; it highlighted a few zones of Ue enrichment and or U/Th enrichment ratios.

Reported that exploration on the property is still at too early a stage to comment on resources; however, a 1953 report prepared for CORFO indicates the Piadosa workings are in a “manto 600m long with potential for several hundred thousand tonnes of ore close to surface”.
