Namakwa Diamond Co. has secured a Declaration of Unacceptable Circumstances from the Corporations and Securities Panel regarding Majestic Resources' hostile takeover offer. The Panel ordered Majestic to issue a supplementary Bidder's Statement and extend the closing date of the bid until May 17, after finding that the Statement contained unsubstantiated and misleading statements and did not provide all of the information which shareholders would reasonably require to assess the bid. Namakwa also announced preliminary sampling results from its Namakwa Diamond Project in South Africa. Preliminary grades as high as 0.35 c/t were reported from bulk sampling. The company also secured an option on a second alluvial diamond project in South Africa. (Crown Diamonds NL)
