Shield Mining Limited announced that it has identified a robust and strongly coherent gold mineralised zone at least one kilometre in length and up to 250 metres wide at its Saboussiri project in southern Mauritania. The zone comprises gold-in-soil anomalies at the project’s Toumbou prospect on which Shield undertook a followup 900 plus soil sampling program in March this year. This prospect has now been re-named Toumbou.

Shield Mining announced that drilling has been suspended at the Diaguili copper prospect at its 60% owned Saboussiri project in southern Mauritania.

Shield Mining announced soil sampling results over the Diaguili copper prospect within Saboussiri project in southern Mauritania. The soil sampling programme at sample spacing of 40m x 40m which was carried out as an aid in drill targeting the VTEM geophysical anomaly.
