Latest Information December 4, 2008 Announced a 50 percent reduction in the mining and stacking rates at the newly commissioned Safford mine due to poor market conditions. March 31, 2007 The project is currently under construction and is expected to produce ore from two open-pit copper mines. All requisite permits have been received and construction commenced in early August 2006. Anticipated that Safford will be in production by early 2008, with full copper production initially expected to approximate 240 million pounds per year. Life of the operation is expected to be at least 18 years. |
