December 31, 2008 Reported geological mapping of a gold-in-soil anomaly identified a possible extension of the anomaly at Mount Remartable
June 30, 2008 At Mount Remartable, first-pass geological sampling of soil covered aeromagnetic targets about 80km southwest of Laverton has outlined several geochemical anomalies worthy of follow-up. Several areas of anomalous gold values coincide with aeromagnetic features which may reflect shear zones
within a greenstone sequence flanking granite. In addition a nickel-copper anomaly was identified on the
projected extension of a mapped ultramafic unit. Follow-up sampling has defined a 1500m-long nickel-copper anomaly and several gold anomalous areas. Field checking and further sampling of these anomalies is in preparation, aimed at defining drilling targets
A review of the information from the 4,000m drilling programme competed in the March 2008 quarter has revealed a promising olivine mesocumulate/orthocumulate horizon interpreted to be up to 400m thick over a strike length of 1,000m, situated within mafic lithologies. MgO contents of up to 34% confirm these observations of a
favourable setting for nickel sulphides for the Top Well project.
October 5, 2007 79-hole, 2840m aircore drilling programme was completed. The wide-spaced drilling intersected sequences of gabbros, dolerites and ultramafic rocks below transported cover.
