Adamus Resources Limited announce that it has selected Lycopodium Engineering as its preferred contractor to build the processing plant for its Southern Ashanti Gold Project in Ghana. Lycopodium says it will work closely with Adamus' own engineers with a current target of first production by early 2011. Detailed contract negotiations are now underway with practical completion expected during November 2010. Detailed design will commence during final contract negotiations. The contract is on an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) basis. Each major equipment item will be tendered under Adamus' direct supervision.
Adamus Resources provided an an update on developments at the company’s 2.1Moz Southern Ashanti Gold project in Ghana. The Company has commenced work on two key siteworks projects: relocation of Salman Village, and determining the route of the new power supply from the Ghanaian National electricity grid. Site clearing is now 60% completed on the new village site. The chosen site was purchased last year for the relocation of the Salman village. All social and environmental approvals
have previously been granted.
Adamus Resources announced that a new 3.5 MW SAG mill, supplied by Outotec Pty Ltd, is to be delivered ahead of schedule and
below previous cost estimates. The purchase is part of Adamus’ plan to source longer lead-time items for the Southern Ashanti Gold project to successfully achieve targeted project completion in late 2010.
