Latest Information
October 31, 1998
A small diamond drilling program, totalling 1,500 m was completed. DDH SAV98-1 intersected Cretaceous Buda Formation Limestone, which was cut by 3 trachyte dikes. No significant assays were reported. DDH SAV98-2 intersected Buda Formation Limestone and was also cut by 3 trachyte dikes as in hole 1. This hole displayed several breccia zones within the limestone, however, no significant mineralization was reported. DDH SAV98-3 intersected Buda Limestone cut by a 4.5 m thick trachyte dike at 246.5 m depth. A fracture zone was reported in the limestone unit from 71.32 - 72.20 m which returned assay values of 10.05% Pb, 0.15% Zn, 15.4 ppm Ag and 0.785 g/t Au. In 1983, a 5 hole drilling program was completed on the property. The property has been the site of small scale manganese oxide mining with relatively high grades of silver and lead. The reported production was about 30,000 tons with the undocumented possibility of an additional 100,000 tons.
