June 2, 2011 Abitibi Mining Corp announced a diamond drill results on their Tannahill gold property, Ontario, Canada.
May 31, 1998 Work had focused on delineating a northeast structure interpreted as a main control on mineralization. Geophysical surveys delineated the main structure for 3 km of strike length. 12 geochemical anomalies were identified along the structure. Mechanical stripping over a number of anomalies returned gold assays up to 3.5 g/t Au.
January 31, 1997 Widely spaced drilling (totalling 1,170 m in 7 DDH holes) was completed on a recently discovered gold bearing structure above the 100 m vertical level and along a strike length of 250 m. Selected assay results included 3.70 m grading 7.02 g/t Au. Three drill holes below the 100 m level indicated that the structure remained open along strike in both directions and in the down dip direction.
