Calibre Mining Corporation announced the completion of a four drill hole, 1,524 meter diamond drill program. Drilling encountered varied thicknesses of alluvial cover with three of the holes penetrating into bedrock. Significant interests of chart and argillite with moderate to strong silicification and disseminated pyrite were common throughout. Assays were pending.

Announced a 3 hole, 1,524 metre diamond drilling program had commenced. In 2008, the optioner has re-logged cuttings from the four 2005 Agnico Eagle drill holes and will also re-assay various sample pulps from the drilling. Calibre is focusing on portions of the property where they surmise that favorable lower-plate stratigraphy exists at relatively shallow depths.

Completed a deep-penetrating MT/IP/resistivity (Titan) ground geophysical line that crosses a portion of the Trend claims and surrounding claims that they also control. The program was designed to determine the depth to the favourable host rocks within this important segment of the Battle Mountain/Eureka mineral belt as well as to better define structural zones that could host Cortez Hills-type gold deposits.
