George Miller, Chairman of the Kaska Dena Council, Corrine Porter, Executive Director, Dena Kayeh Institute and Mark Jarvis, President of Hard Creek Nickel Corporation announce the signing of their “Traditional Knowledge Protocol”. The Protocol is a key step in the process for the Kaska and Hard Creek towards achieving a mutually beneficial relationship. The Protocol sets out important commitments by both the Kaska Dena and Hard Creek towards undertaking a Traditional Knowledge study this summer that will enable Hard Creek to incorporate Kaska knowledge into their project design and planning for Turnagain.
Hard Creek Nickel Corporation announce a new resource estimate for its wholly owned Turnagain Property, located 70 km east of Dease Lake, British Columbia, Canada. Measured and Indicated resources, using a 0.10% AC-Ni (nickel in sulphide minerals) cut-off, are estimated at 695 million tonnes grading 0.174% AC-Ni with an additional 510 million tonnes of Inferred resources at 0.173% AC-Ni.
Provided analytical results for the final 11 diamond drill holes, totaling 3,024.5 m from the 2008 drilling program at the Turnagain project. Hole 08-264 returned 184 m of 0.32% Ni from 24 m.
