October 31, 2004 MCD submitted an EIA involving the exploitation of the San Jose and San Martin mines, with a joint production over 5,000 t/m, and mineral will be shipped to the Santa Margarita plant. Exploitation will be by means of open pit and underground methods. Copper average exploitation grade for San Jose was estimed in 1.1% CuS and 1.0% CuS for San Martin.
September 30, 1996 Water rights have been received from the government allowing for agreements to be finalized with other partners for the aquisition of the Tuina mine.
May 31, 1996 Construction of an SX plant is planned at Tuina and an SX-EW plant at Dona Ada. The plant at tuina will provide 6,000 tonnes copper cathode per year.
