March 31, 2002 The forecast operating plan is based on decreasing production from 3.95 million tonnes per annum to 3.15 million tonnes per annum ROM. The decrease is due to a reduction in short-term development demands, resulting in lower development tonnage and a reduction in longwall operating shifts. Production increases to approximately 3.8 million tonnes per annum following 2004.
