Following a study of the data done during the period, the deepening of hole VN-04-01, diamond drilled in May 2004, was planned in order to detect ultramafic rocks at greater depth under the gabbroïc rocks. Following a study of the data done during the period, the deepening of hole VN-04-01, diamond drilled in May 2004, was planned in order to detect ultramafic rocks at greater depth under the gabbroïc rocks. November 30, 2003 Geological and geophysical surveys were completed. These surveys result in a new structural geological interpretation with major implication for the exploration of the area. It also outlines a 100-square-kilometre ultramafic to mafic intrusive complex associated to a strong gravimetric anomaly. This anomaly supports the new structural and petrological interpretation. Drilling has commenced. |
