Stellar Pacific Ventures announced that following a strategic evaluation of its gold properties, the company plans to update the mineral resources at the Vassan property, Quebec, Canada. In addition, the company plans to drill test the East extension of the Hamelin Gold Zone.

A total of seven holes were drilled to test the depth extension if the Hamelin gold zone (4,932 metres). Three holes, drilled directly down dip of the known mineralized structure, hit one or more gold-copper intercepts over metric core length. A total of seven holes were completed. The Hamelin zone (H-3), reappears very strongly below 500 metres wih hole V2007-04 returning 5.82 grams per tonne Au over 8.9 m). Two new veins appear below the 400-metre level (H-1 and H-2). Vein H-1 can be followed so far for 200 metres vertically by 200 metres laterally.

Hole V2007-02 intersected two zones of massive sulphides (30 centimetres and 50 centimetres) at a vertical depth of 500 metres within an ultramafic sequence. Sulphides mostly consist of pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. Initial results include 13.28 g/t Au over 1.1 m and 10.52 g/t over 2.2 m.
