February 9, 2011 EastCoal Inc. announced that it is commissioning the the supply and installation of a coal washing plant for its Veticalnaya North Project in Ukraine.
October 20, 2010 Lysander Minerals Corporation provided an update at its Verticalnaya mine, Ukraine. Concreting of the two portals is in process, following completion of the portal excavations. The conveyor drift portal will be 33 metres in length, having separate entrances, one for the conveyor belt and the other for men and materials. The Auxiliary drift portal will be 21 metres in length, with separate entrances for materials and ventilation.
