July 9, 2007 Trench sampling results were received. One trench showed 38 meters of 0.79 g/t Au, including 20 meters of 1.5 g/r Au. Another showed 38 meters of 0.95 g/t Au, including 20 meters of 1.53 g/t Au and 12 meters of 2.14 g/t Au. Further surface sampling, mapping, and geophysical surveys are planned for the project area, followed by drilling to commence in the fall and winter of 2007 – 2008.
May 8, 2007 Announced the commencement of exploration activity on the Viento Frio property.The following activities will take place over the next six months:a stream sediment sampling program, a rock chip sampling program, geologic mapping, topographic mapping, trenching and a ground geophysical survey.
February 16, 2007 As part of its preliminary investigation of the project, Western Troy asked Hazen Research to perform a leach test on a small surface rock chip sample. The sample assayed 1.5 g/t gold and Hazen found that, after grinding to minus 100 mesh, cyanide leaching recovered 97 per cent of the gold in 24 hours.
