Latest Information May 20, 2010 Strategic Resource Acquisition Corp. announced that it has acquired from Redcorp Ventures, its Portuguese subsidiary, two exploration projects in Portugal covering gold prospects at the Vila de Rei concession and polymetallic massive sulphide mineralization at the 208 km2 Lagoa Salgada Concession. March 26, 2008 Geochemical results have been received from the surface prospecting program conducted by REM on the Vila de Rei gold project in November 2007. During that program, 331 grab samples were collected from outcropping quartz veins and hematitic breccia on the concession. Of these samples, 41 samples returned from 0.7g/t Au to 1.6 g/t Au, 32 samples returned from 1.6 g/t Au to 4 g/t Au, and 21 samples returned from 4 g/t Au to the program high of 10.6 g/t Au (sample BAR07297.) Clusters of samples returning elevated gold values outlined four separate target areas ranging up to one km in length distributed along a 40 km northerly trending axis of favourable geology on the concession. Each of these target areas contained samples returning greater than 4 g/t gold. November 30, 2007 Additional stream sediment sampling, prospecting and rock sampling were performed to extend known areas of mineralization and to examine previously unexplored areas on the concession. During that program, 331 grab samples were collected from outcropping quartz veins and hematitic breccia. Of these samples, 41 samples returned assay results ranging from 0.7g/t Au to 1.6 g/t Au, 32 samples returned assay results ranging from 1.6 g/t Au to 4 g/t Au, and 21 samples returned assay results ranging from 4 g/t Au to the program high of 10.6 g/t Au (sample BAR07297.) Clusters of samples returning elevated gold values outlined four separate target areas ranging up to one km in length distributed along a 40 km northerly trending axis of favourable geology on the Vila de Rei Property. Each of these target areas contained samples returning assay results greater than 4 g/t gold. In 2006, Redcorp Portugal’s work program consisted of data compilation and check sampling. Reconnaissance stream silt and pan concentrate sampling covered selected areas, approximating 15% of the concession area. Anomalous results were followed by geological prospecting and rock and chip samples. Approximately 10% of the 199 rock samples returned values in excess of 1 g/t gold with the highest value of 11.6 g/t obtained from an iron-stained quartz vein. Individual quartz veins encountered were up to 15 m width and exposed intermittently over strike lengths of 300 to 800 m. Geochemistry of the mineralization shows a strong correlation of gold with arsenic and lesser antimony, which management believes is similar to other intrusive-hosted gold mineralization systems. |
