Latest Information August 31, 2007 5 holes for 1500 metres of reverse circulation percussion drilling were completed. The programme targeted strong Induced Polarisation geophysical anomalies, which are coincident with strong geochemical gold in soil and rock chip trends on 3 separate zones of up to a kilometre length. Drilling results were inconsequential and Oxiana has withdrawn. Surface expression of these zones is very subdued such that the orientation of the mineralised structures is not readily apparent. QGM intends to carry out a limited test of shallow drilling from the opposite direction to eliminate the possibility that geophysical interpretation of dip was incorrect. February 19, 2007 Following the completion of ground and geophysical work, a drilling program of approximately 2,500 metres will commence. Soil and rock chip sampling, and an Induced Polarisation geophysical study, were completed which has extended the known area of mineralisation associated with the 1980’s open pit workings at Warroo. |
