Aquila Resources Limited announced that the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has recommended environmental approval for the mine and rail facilities for the West Pilbara Iron Ore Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Aquila Resources Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Aquila Steel Pty Limited, and its joint venture in the API Joint Venture, AMCI Pty Ltd, today resolved to undertake mine development at Stage 1 of the West Pilbara Iron Ore Project in Western Australia, which will entail production of at least 30Mtpa of direct shipped ore, using a newly constructed, 280km dedicated rail connection from the mine to Anketell Point, as well as port facilities at that site.
