Venturex Resources Limited advise, further to announcements made on 20 and 21 August 2009, that it has executed the share sale agreement for the acquisition of all the issued capital in Straits (Whim Creek) Pty Ltd from Straits Resources Limited. The acquisition is still subject to a number of conditions precedent, one of which is the approval of Shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held in late November 2009. Settlement is expected to occur on 31 January 2010, or such other date agreed between the parties. The assets to be acquired under this agreement include the Whim Creek and Salt Creek tenements and assets.

Staits Resources announced that mining operations at Whim Creek in Australia have ceased. Whim Creek continues to produce copper from its existing heaps. In anticipation of the curtailment of this SX-EW processing, the company has granted an option to Finders Resource to purchase the Whim Creek SX-EW plant.

Exploration was directed toward reconnaissance BLEG soil sampling for gold. Several significant BLEG in soil anomalies were detected along the Loudens Fault, south and south east of Mons Cupri, with one area returning +1,600ppb Au in soil and a separate area returning a peak of +660ppb Au in soil. Results for the remaining third of the programme in addition to final reporting of results are expected within the next quarter.
