Latest Information August 31, 1999 2 holes totalling 372 m had been drilled to test the area of Zn-Cu-Au-bearing massive sulphide occurring at surface. No mineralization similar to the surface mineralization was encountered in the drill holes and no significant concentrations of base or precious metals were returned from assays of drill core.  August 6, 1999 Altius Minerals has reported on recent activities completed on its exploration properties in Newfoundland. Diamond drilling on the Victoria River property has been postponed until additional fieldwork has been completed on the anomalies. Seven holes totalling 753 m were drilled on the Moosehead property. No significant gold results were returned and the source of several glacially derived boulders remains unsolved. Two holes totalling 372 m were drilled on the Wild Cove property to test an area of zinc-copper-gold-bearing massive sulphide occurring at surface. No mineralization similar to the surface mineralization was encountered and no significant concentrations of base or precious metals were returned from assays of drill core. |
