An airborne geophysical survey identified an area of interest. This area was subject to a ground magnetometer survey to further clarify the anomaly. This ground mag survey confirmed a positive magnetic anomaly about 300 metres in diameter under a round shallow lake. Further exploration, including the drilling of two holes, has been recommended. From 1994 to 2003, David Smith carried out intensive exploration for diamonds in the Drybones Bayarea. Tradewinds Resources, Avance International, Southernera Resources and F. Hurcombe have also worked in and around the Drybones Bay area. The work consisted of airborne and ground-based magnetic and electromagnetic surveys, seismic surveys, geochemical and till sampling surveys, and diamond drilling. This work took place in and around the Drybones Bay area and involved follow-up on the discovery and exploration of peripheral claims.
