May 5, 2010 Cougar Minerals announced it has completed a diamond drill program on the PFG/Bill and Conley properties, near Rice Lake, Manitoba. Seventeen holes, totaling 2,879 m were completed. Eleven holes (2,189 m total) were drilled on the PFG/Bill property and 6 holes (690 m total) were drilled on the Conley property. Highlights include; Hole PFG-10-07 intersected 1.25 g/t gold over 1 m.
September 22, 2009 Cougar Minerals reported to have received assay results from the recently completed prospecting program of the Wyatt property located in the Manigotagan River-Gem Lake area, near Bissett, Manitoba. Assays have also been received from the trenching program on the PFG/Bill claims. Both the Wyatt and the PFG/Bill properties are located in the Rice Lake greenstone belt. Assays from rock samples taken from this showing included 16.5 g/t Au, 12.4 g/t Au, 3.2 g/t Au, 2.1 g/t Au, and 2.0 g/t Au. The Wanabe showing is intermittently exposed over a strike length of 90 m, remains open on strike in both directions, and is untested by modern exploration techniques.
August 31, 2009 Cougar Minerals completed a prospecting program on the PFG/Bill property in the Rice Lake area of southeastern Manitoba, Canada. Visible gold was observed in one narrow tourmaline-bearing quartz vein. A sample from this vein returned 78.66 g/t Au.
