February 20, 2009 Sinovus announced that obtained Chinese Government approvals for the new exploration licence to the north of its mining tenement at its Xiangguang silver-manganese project Hebei Province of China. This application is currently waiting for the final approval at the Hebei Provincial Government level before its granting.
December 31, 2008 Continued underground and surface exploration work has extended silver mineralisation for more than 200 metres at Vein 13 and about 100 metres at Vein 2; major assay results include 14.00m of 102.36 g/t Ag, 2.46% Mn and 0.42 g/t Au; 4.30m of 265.21 g/t Ag, 5.69% Mn and 0.06 g/t Au; 3.60m of 178.75 g/t Ag, 16.22% Mn and 0.71 g/t Au and 4.00m of 132.75 g/t Ag, 2.81% Mn and 0.22 g/t Au. Detailed reviews of the high-precision ground magnetic survey, and has indentified possible extension of the Vein 13 mineralisation for another 1200 metres, suggesting a potential of 2,000 metre long mineralisation at Vein 13.
December 15, 2008 The Chinese partner to its Chinese JV Company, Hebei Sinovus Mining Co Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the local Zhuolu County Government to secure a supply of high grade Ag-Mn materials for the planned operations at Xiangguang Ag-Mn Project in 2009.
