Latest Information June 30, 2001 Drilling commenced. The drill target lies within a large structural block that has never been drill tested. Within this block there are at least two areas of sedex style mineralization and alteration, suggesting that a Sullivan type of volcanic vent has been active under the area. There is sedex-style vented material at surface (including bedded tourmalinite, fragmental as well as fracture-filled lead and zinc, with actinolite, biotite and albite). October 31, 1999 Drilling commenced on the property. One diamond drill hole SE of Mt. Mahon was planned to test the stratigraphic relationship in an area where a structural "corridor" was previously mapped. The corridor includes interpreted vent facies lithologies and alteration. Marker control indicates that the Sullivan Horizon should be approximately 400 m below the sulphide encountered in hole Y98-01 by Abitibi during the 1998 drill program. |
