Latest Information September 17, 2007 Solomon field crews completed the first phase of work on its 39,165 hectare Zamtiin Gol uranium prospect located in the Tarvagatayn Mountains of Arhangay Province in west-central Mongolia. Geophysical crews outlined four shallow auto-gamma-ray spectrometer (PICO GRS-2; 4 litre detector) anomalies on the property near the headwaters of two parallel valleys draining south from the uraniferous Permian Solongo granite stock. Preliminary geological mapping has been conducted and auger soil samples were collected from over 400 detailed grid-controlled and reconnaissance sample sites. The soil samples have been received at ALS Chemex in North Vancouver and results are expected late in September. July 10, 2007 Geophysical crews have outlined four shallow auto-gamma-ray spectrometer (PICO GRS-2; 4 litre detector) anomalies on the property. Geological mapping and auger soil sampling have also been completed. In August 2006, completed roughly 55 linekilometres of GPS-controlled, truck-mounted reconnaissance auto gamma-ray spectrometer survey (4 litre, Pico GRS-2 spectrometer). In the south part of the property spectrometric reconnaissance profiles completed in the area of Anomaly 450 resulted in the identification of an anomaly area roughly 300 metres by 120 metres measuring between 20 and 80 ppm uranium. A single soil sample (sample 51893) collected at the most anomalous station assayed 215 uranium and 45.4 ppm thorium. |
