European Goldfields has reported results from its Certej Project infill drill program and Zlatna Concession exploration drilling located in Romania. Significant results reported by the company using a 0.8 ppm gold cut-off ranged from 1.26 g/t to 4.86 g/t gold with associated silver, copper, lead and zinc. An assessment of the Paraul Mialului and the decommissioned Paraul Miresuli tailings deposits, which are located near the Certej site, as possible additional future sources of mill feed has been initiated. Topographic surveys to confirm the surficial extent of the deposits have been completed. At the Paraul Miresuli site the objective of Phase 1 is to provide information on the subsurface character, spatial extent and the local continuity of the mineralisation and will involve the completion of approximately 50 vertical hand auger test holes, spaced at nominal 25 m x 25 m intervals and ranging in length from 2m to 10m.
