We service the mining and construction industries anywhere, anytime, from our base in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

Products and Services

Borinfo's business is to help customers determine locations of drilled ore zones and samples. Borinfo provides survey services for diamond drill holes typically from 200 to 2000 m. long for the mineral exploration industry. We also operate equipment designed to measure shorter (15 to 100 metres) holes for precision blasting operations, grouting or freeze curtains.

Why Survey Drill Holes? Early understanding of the 3-Dimensional position of boreholes improves the overall cost, time, and confidence in results of a drill program. Well aimed holes, based on measured deviation patterns from prior holes, reduce the number of holes to complete a pattern. Oriented core aids definition of size, shape and continuity, faster, with more confidence and with fewer drill holes. Borehole steering begins and ends with accurate trajectory surveys. Surveying is a prerequisite for directional drilling, or for simply aiming or steering a hole by controlled drilling parameters. Technological improvement begins with measurement. Design of equipment or drilling procedures to make straighter holes begins with detailed measurement to define types and causes of deviation. Construction industry holes for tiebacks, grouting, or freezing must be properly spaced for safe construction. When safety is an issue, spacing must be measured.
