International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC) 2005 DQS Audit
CyPlus has become one of the first official signatories to the International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC) in mid 2005. Its production facility in Wesseling, Germany was successfully audited by 'Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen' (DQS) according to ICMC at the end of 2005. Having reached this status, CyPlus shows its full commitment to be a reliable partner of the world's gold mining industry in supplying cyanide. On top of this, CyPlus also supplies tailor-made technology solutions to its customers related to environmental, safety, health and quality performance issues.
In early 2004, CyPlus was the first cyanide producer to be assessed by the German body for the certification of management systems, DQS, based on the ICMC audit protocol for cyanide producers. It was verified that CyPlus meets all the requirements of this code and a declaration of conformity was awarded. At this time, the audit was done on a solely voluntary basis, the audit protocols only existing in a draft version. By doing this, CyPlus wanted to set a signal to the world wide mining industry, demonstrating its proactive initiative even before the code was launched officially.
