FLSmidth RAHCO Inc.’s professional staff has diverse worldwide experience as system engineers, designers, manufacturers and operators of custom machines. Our teams have provided equipment for some of the world’s most complex project and equipment challenges. From mobile conveyors handling ore at some of the largest mines in the Americas to harvesting systems in the Middle East and Asia, FLSmidth RAHCO equipment is individually designed to meet our clients’ operational requirements.
We have designed and fabricated a variety of equipment to specification including mobile and overland conveying systems, radial stackers, a self-guided transport vehicle (SGTV) for buried waste retrieval, a unique underwater excavator, and drilling equipment for the oil and gas industry. FLSmidth RAHCO has also partnered with other manufacturers, serving as project lead and handling all system interfaces. Fully automated systems are an FLSmidth RAHCO specialty.
FLSmidth RAHCO’s Engineering Department has a staff of multi-disciplined engineers and designers. Disciplines include mechanical, structural, electrical, mining, agricultural, hydraulic, welding, and manufacturing.
Our engineering staff has successfully designed a variety of innovative and specialized equipment including:
- Mobile stacking conveyor
- Overland and portable conveyors
- Radial stackers and other stacking equipment
- Excavators
- Dredges
FLSmidth RAHCO also specializes in client feasibility and trade-off studies.
FLSmidth RAHCO has an experienced Project Management Department. Once a contract has reached the negotiation stage, project responsibility transfers to project management and a project manager is assigned. Project management provides the necessary management across all disciplines to ensure the overall project is completed to meet the customer’s specifications on time and on budget. More and more frequently we are called on to provide turnkey systems. In this case, FLSmidth RAHCO’s Project Manager has the additional task of overseeing subcontractors during erection.
With each project FLSmidth RAHCO sends a field service team to the site to provide technical assistance and training during the erection and commissioning phases. Generally, the team includes installation, mechanical, hydraulic and training specialists. FLSmidth RAHCO’s support doesn’t end there, however. We offer a full line of aftermarket support services including spare parts, maintenance services, and upgrades to existing systems. Our field service team travels the world visiting sites on a regular basis.
FLSmidth RAHCO Quality Assurance
Our Quality Assurance (QA) Group is responsible for implementing the company’s long-established quality control program. Quality control activities aren’t limited to our own facilities. We also “QC” all FLSmidth RAHCO subcontractors. In addition, we recently received our API Spec 4F certification. FLSmidth RAHCO’s Quality Assurance Manual is available upon request.
