SURFACE RECORDING GYRO GUIDANCE SURFACE

Unlike conventional film gyro systems which take costly rig time to develop and calculate, the IDS LLC surface recording gyro guidance system (SRGG) produces instant and accurate results at each measured interval.

The SRGG is recommended for surveys in drill pipe, cased holes, production tubing, directional deep holes and orientations. It is particularly effective in situations where a high degree of accuracy is required, such as congested field, offshore drilling and relief well applications.

APPLICATIONS FOR DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

Performing Multiple Kick-Offs from a Single Master Hole to recapture the cost of redrilling or coring the overlaying formations above the mineralized zone, thereby maximizing exploration dollars.

Straight Hole Drilling in highly deviated formations and correcting deviated holes without expensive wedging and doglegs.

Trenchless Drilling under Rivers, Roads or other Obstacles for utilities such as pipelines, fiber-optics, conduit, etc. therefore eliminating expensive trenches and reclamation costs.

Directional Drilling to pinpoint targets or multiple targets at multiple depths or intersecting predetermined zones.

Inaccessible Surface Areas such as lakes, rivers and building where it is impossible to set a drill to drill down to the zone.

Controlled Drilling through Dipping Formations such as coal seams for degasification and staying inside the seam to maximize the distance.

Pilot Holes for Raise Bore Shafts Drilling and remaining in small cylinder areas to maintain a stress-free hole for the rods to turn the hole openers; drilling with steerable motors to speed up penetretion rates.

DEVIDRILL DIRECTIONAL CORING SYSTEM

The DeviDrill™ is a fully wireline operated, directional core drilling system. This new wireline system will allow for the directional core drilling along a predetermined and controlled trajectory. Retrievel of the core samples are achieved by using proven wireline drilling techniques and hardware.
