(MQes) has been awarded the Basic Engineering design for the Rio Blanco gold-silver project located near Cuenca in Ecuador. The award to MQes results from completion by MQes of the process plant and surface facilities for a Feasibility Study that was finalized in January 2006. The Rio Blanco project is owned by International Minerals Corporation (a Canadian junior mining company listed on the Toronto, Zurich and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges and based in Scottsdale, Arizona). Rio Blanco will be developed as an underground operation using conventional mining methods over an initial mine life of approximately 8 years. MQes will design the process plant and ancillary facilities. The processing plant will treat 800tpd of ore grading approximately 8.7g/t gold and 62g/t silver and will involve crushing, grinding, leaching, CCD washing and Merrill Crowe precipitation. The design will be executed from MQes' offices in San Mateo, California.
