Personnel & Vehicle Tracking Systems
MineCom tracking solutions are being used to improve safety in the work place from the tracking of personnel, vehicles in mines, to tracking untreated ore and coal in both underground hard rock & open cut coal mines. The technology has been adapted to track recyclable materials and refuse in cities to tracking wild animals. MineCom offers both the hardware and software for its tracking solutions.
ePROX — personnel tagging utilising very small rugged RFID tags with a range of Tag Board Readers, some offering inbuilt LCD displays to display blast warnings, evacuation alarms, personal or job related messages to miners as they tag IN/OUT/THROUGH
TELTag — personnel & vehicle tagging system, offering a range of powered tag transmitters. Tags can be powered from a cap-lamp battery, or an internal lithium battery version that will run for two years. A range of wireless & fibre based display and non-display readers are available
LAMPS — Intrinsically Safe approved, personnel & vehicle tagging system powered from an internal lithium battery with a two year life, Tag Readers are linked by fibre optic backbone
Personnel Safety Systems
SMARTPDS — Personnel Detection System designed to prevent accidents and injuries to miners working near automated or semi-automated mine equipment.
HAULTag & HAULTag PLUS — collision avoidance systems designed to prevent accidents between large haul trucks and 4WD vehicles. It also prevents rear-end accidents between haul trucks.
Wireless Automation Systems
TELData — electronically tracks the movements of LHD's & dump trucks, logging & transmitting the collected data (load/dump locations, load weight, driver ID etc) in real time.
TELLoader — a one-man operated Ore loading station, The on-board enhanced electronic system enables the haul truck driver to automatically Load & Unload the vehicle in complete safety
SMARTTraffic — a very smart modular decline traffic management system that can differentiate between loaded & unloaded ore trucks, 4WD's, Emergency vehicles etc, travelling in the decline, includes an optional Collision Avoidance module
SMARTCage — automated shaft control and monitoring system for ships and cages including voice communications
TOMS — Tracking-Ore-Movement-System was designed specifically for sub-level block caving mines, enabling mine staff to track the movement of the ore body after blasting has taken place
TOMMIES — a version of TOMS, developed for tracking coal movement in Open Cut Coal Mines
LEAKY FEEDER SYSTEMS
MineCom offers a range of communications systems that operate in the VHF - MCA1000, UHF - MCA2000, - 800Mhz - MCA3000, 2.4Ghz -MCA4000 bands. Systems have been installed in mines and tunnels around the world and offer many unique features not offered by other manufacturers.
We guarantee voice, data and video communications wherever our leaky feeder cables are installed. MineCom systems are used to monitor and control automated ore trains, automated shafts and hoists; and provide real-time video or music and sports programs from local FM/AM radio stations.
MCA1000 VHF Leaky Feeder system (4th generation) offers on board
drive by 'digital diagnostics' displaying volts, current and RF levels. Recently released the
SMARTTune amplifier that automatically adjusts the output level to match the cable length. Up to 500m (spacing) between amplifiers, 12V, 24V or 48V DC powered (I.S. approved in some countries). Options include -

MCA2000W UHF wide band leaky feeder system, Voice, Data, Video and Diagnostics
MCA2000N UHF narrow band leaky feeder system, designed to meet EU standard Trunking & TETRA channel splits. 2nd generation system operates over MineCom's low cost leaky feeder cable.
MCA3000 800Mhz/HVHF/LVHF — Tri-band system, 800Mhz (60Mhz of Trunking & Data), 150 &172Mhz VHF Hi-Band, Video in the VHF Lo-Band over a single leaky feeder cable.
MCA4000 2.4Ghz — Wi-Fi, Vo IP, Ethernet utilising a mix of antennae and leaky feeder cable.
SMARTRepeater VHF and UHF 'off-air-repeater' system provides continuous communications along railway cuttings and tunnels.
Termite WaterProof Voice Radios — MineCom manufactures a range of water proof, heavy-duty radio transceivers designed specifically for mines.
