Brunswick Mine
Brunswick Mine is located near Bathurst, in the province of New Brunswick, in Canada. In 1996,
MRS installed the FLEXCOM Communication System, and it has since grown to include over
150 amplifiers, situated over 50 km. Olympic Dam
A MRS FLEXCOM communication system was installed in 1996,
initially covering 40 km. of the mine. The system then consisted of 3 voice channels, plus video and
diagnostic features. Due to the size of Olympic Dam, a requirement was to have redundancy. To this
end, MRS installed head ends in five locations throughout the workings, linked together with Dekoron
copper cable. Koornfontein Mine
Koornfontein Mine Gloria Shaft is a coal mine located in the Witbank area of South Africa.
Thecompany required a complete MIS system to monitor and control all the conveyors and
environmental equipment in the mine.
